The Virginia Safari Park is located in Rockbridge County, at exit 180/180-B off I-81 in Natural Bridge, Virginia.
We are conveniently located in the Shenandoah Valley, only minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and historic Lexington. Take a short day trip from Roanoke, Lynchburg, Staunton, Charlottesville, Richmond (2.5 hours), or metro Washington, D.C. (3.5 hours).

From ROANOKE
- Take I-81 north to Exit 180.
- Turn north [left] on US 11.
- Go 1/2 mile to the KOA campground sign at the Stop-In gas station.
- Turn left at KOA and follow the Safari signs.
From STAUNTON
- Take I-81 south to Exit 180-B.
- At the bottom of the exit ramp, go straight across US 11 towards the KOA campground and follow Safari signs.
From LYNCHBURG
- Take Rt. 130 west to Natural Bridge.
- Turn right on US 11 North.
- Go 4 miles [PASS the NB Zoo] and proceed under I-81.
- Turn left at the KOA campground and the Stop-In gas station and follow the Safari signs.
From WASHINGTON, D.C.
- Take I-66 West to I-81 South.
- Take Exit 180-B.
- At the bottom of the exit ramp, go straight across US 11 toward the KOA campground and follow Safari signs.
From CHARLOTTESVILLE/RICHMOND
- Take I-64 West to I-81 South.
- Take Exit 180-B.<
- At the bottom of the exit ramp, go straight across US 11 toward the KOA campground and follow Safari signs.
From WEST VIRGINIA
Take I-64 East to I-81 South.
Take Exit 180-B.
At the bottom of the exit ramp, go straight across US 11 toward the KOA campground and follow Safari signs.
From BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY
Download the Blue Ridge Parkway map for the best route. The closest exits are mile marker 50 (Buena Vista) and mile marker 90 (Bedford; not suitable for RVs).
