Wagon Rides

Climb aboard for a 45-minute guided wagon tour through the Virginia Safari Park and experience the safari from a whole new perspective. As you travel through the drive-thru safari, you’ll have the opportunity to feed friendly animals right from the wagon while learning fascinating facts about the incredible species that call the park home.

Leave the driving to us while you relax, take photos and enjoy unforgettable up-close encounters with some of the park’s most popular animals. Your knowledgeable guide will share fun facts, interesting stories and insights throughout the tour, making it an exciting experience for guests of all ages.

Every wagon ride includes one bucket of specialty grain, giving you plenty of opportunities to interact with many of our safari residents along the route. Our wagons accommodate up to 35 guests, making this a memorable adventure for families, friends and groups.

Wagon rides are free throughout July! Wagons depart hourly from 11 a.m. through 3 p.m.

Advance reservations are recommended, as seating is limited and popular departure times can fill quickly. Add wagon ride tickets to your cart after selecting your general admission tickets online. Tickets are also available at the gate, in the gift shop and at the wagon station, subject to availability.
