Black Friday Means 14th Annual “Coats For Kids” Charity

Natural Bridge, VA—November 20, 2015—Virginia Safari Park is planning the largest turnout for their “Coats for Kids” charity drive event on Black Friday, November 27, 2015.  This day will mark their 14th annual “Coats for Kids” drive, in which Virginia Safari Park donates their entire day’s proceeds to purchase new winter coats for children in need in the Rockbridge County area.

Virginia Safari Park Welcomes 2nd Baby Rhino This Year!


Natural Bridge, VA – November 18th The Virginia Safari Park, a ZAA accredited facility, welcomed another baby white rhinoceros on October 29th.  The baby rhino named, “Khaleesi” is the second white rhino to be born this year at Virginia Safari Park, which marks a major milestone in the Safari Park’s rhino conservation goals.

2015 Safari Shots Photo Contest

 It's that time of year again! Virginia Safari Park is calling shutterbugs of all ages to enter their photos in the official 2015 Safari Shots Photo Contest.  With thousands of animals, Virginia Safari Park's diverse wildlife and interactive animal experiences create the perfect backdrop for any photographer.  Snap funny family pictures or the perfect animal poses.  Scenery, silly faces and animal antics are encouraged.  So pack up those cameras and head to the Park for your chance to win a family 4 pack of season passes or other exciting "safari" prizes!

Virginia Safari Park Delivers "Coats for Kids"
It was more than business as usual for Virginia Safari Park on November 23, 2012.  The day marked the 11th annual “Coats for Kids” charity, in which Virginia Safari Park opened its gates and donated their entire day’s proceeds to purchase new winter coats for children in need in the Rockbridge County area. “Coats for Kids” occurs each year on the Friday after Thanksgiving at the Park.
